damn i think this has opened a whole lot of issues for him. I just saw a mention about tax evasion too?? But i didn’t have the energy to check more lmao

honestly if this is all true then all i can say is that we do not know what these people are...almost 2 decades in the industry with that image....wow

We'll never really know. So many bullying issues coming out lately aside from issues like this one that Yunho is involved in so it makes me wonder if its ok to still be a fan and not just look into their personal life and not openly support them (specially those they did when they were in middle school or high school). Will it make me a bad person if I continue to like their music?

After a decade of being a fan of course I know that what we really mostly see is the image that was "made and produced" by their agencies. But I still get surprised by some issues.

I think it’s okay to enjoy music, but it kinda depends. I try not to bother at all with anyone who’s violent or awful, but for ‘lesser’ offenses..I just don’t stream/support lmao. At the end of the day, as long as you aren’t blindly stanning, I think you’re already consuming content responsibly.

Tbh, we don’t truly know anyone, even our own family members. Believing in someone, or at least in the part of them they decide to show you and the world, is something we do towards everyone imo.
The fact that idols get into scandals is just a part of them being human, and it’s up to each person if they will forgive them or not, the same way people will forgive others they know in real life. Of course, different levels of scandals also deserve different reparations and punishments other than simple forgiveness by the public.

I particularly avoid too much disappointment by keeping my expectations very low towards most people in my life, idols included lol

SM has been working overtime to do damage control, so a roundabout explanation that the tax evasion had to do with a building Yunho had bought for his dad was released, in order to deflect and keep a lid on the various rumours. But I bet ya, there's more behind it all, the cracks have already been showing. Curious if Dispatch or similar will attempt a go at it all, or if SM has already paid them to keep hush/release positive articles instead. Probably the latter...

It's important to remember that the music industry is rly a lot of smoke and mirrors. everything's a misdirection/purposeful deception until proven otherwise. and I mean this even outside of kpop.

clothes are loaned or free to give the allusion of doing well, music and promo release are basically on loan from the label and the artist has to pay it all back, everyone has pitch correction even when singing live, etc etc

we just know what all of them show us, not just in kpop , in all industries is like that, so yeah, we really don't know any of them, still it is surprising because he had good reputation.
