Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back 6 years to the 3rd week of December, 2014. The top three have been posted before so this time we’ll see some live stages.
#3 GDYB “Good Boy”
I remember when this came out. I was sitting in my car in front of Yougurtland and watched the MV and then laughed for like 20 minutes. But that’s been posted before, so let’s check out their SBS Gayo stage. Remember when it was just normal for Taeyang to be without a shirt? Like, for YEARS. Just shirtless and that Forever Hairstyle. I’m also 95% sure that the last time he was shirtless on broadcast was the day before his and Hyorin’s relationship was outed. Anyways, it was nice to see GDYB finally debut after like, 13 years or whatever. The song would peak at the top spot.

#2 Kyuhyun “At Gwanghwamun”
This was his debut solo song, and it made him the first Super Junior member to go solo since the group started 11 years earlier. It was a huge hit, and would peak at #1 on multiple charts. The album of the same name would also go on to reach the top spot. It is still his biggest selling solo single. Here’s the song from one of his appearances on Sketchbook.

#1 Apink “LUV”
This was the follow up to “Mr. Chu”, which was released earlier in the year. It would be just as successful as its predecessor. The song would debut at #2, and the album would debut at #1. The song would be in the top ten for weeks. The group would win 17 music show trophies for this song, which still holds the record for highest wins for a single song from a girl group. Here’s a special Christmas stage on Music Core.

Honorable Mentions
#7 Hyolyn & Jooyoung featuring Iron “Erase”
This was Jooyoung’s first release after joining Starship. It would be a collab with Sistar’s Hyolyn and rapper Iron, who had just finished up the latest season of Show Me The Money. Damn, Starship loves doing collaborations. They should have done more with this duo though, they sound good together. The MV also stars Cross Gene’s Takuya.

#9 Infinite F “Heartthrob”
This was the formal debut song from Infinite’s second unit group. As far as I can tell they debuted in Japan first? And this was the Korean debut? The unit and the song were first introduced at a concert earlier in the year, but the song would not be officially released until December. The song would also be on an OST for a drama starring Infinite members Woohyun and Sungyeol.
