Congrats to them. I've seen fans saying that this award is higher than a daesang, if that's the case then this really is an honour, wow! Though I saw some haters trashing them saying about how they're at rookie level compared to the likes of BTS and EXO...As if Seventeen isn't the 3rd biggest BG in SK right now and is selling over a million copies. They even got a daesang last year for AOTY. Seventeen are not some irrelevant nugus, they have achieved quite a number of accomplishments.

lmao this is why i got so heated at the ontd post about them. like... can you please google them before spouting nasty bs? is2g some of the ppl there are like, i know about bts and therefore know about all of kpop, as if bts is representative of every single kpop group out there.

It takes only seconds to google, but people want to be ignorant assholes because they just don't care to check the facts. There were a lot of ARMYs seething at the fact that Seventeen was nominated in the same category as them for MAMAs and other major awards as if BTS is the only kpop group out there and should be the only one nominated. Just like how even though EXO may be on hiatus, but they're still reeling in endorsements and sales because they are still far from being irrelevant. BTS is arguably the most popular now, but there are other popular groups as well. Too many toxic fans sit in their bubble and have absolutely no idea about what is going on about the rest of the kpop world. Not everything revolves around BTS, as much as ARMY would like to believe otherwise with the case of 'main character syndrome' they have developed ever since BTS blew up.
