~MOD ANNOUNCEMENTS~
1. PLEASE POST.
I can’t stress this enough. Omona dies if it is not active, so please help us out by posting.
Don’t be shy about submitting a post, we will not bite your head off if HTML fail occurs- it happens to all of us (and it’s the reason an edit button was invented!).
Don’t underestimate whether you think your post will be interesting or not, if you’re a fan, someone else in the comm. will be too.
We want to thank everyone who has submitted posts, especially those who are regular contributors (we are aware of who you are, so mega love bbs).
ALSO: If you can manage one post every few days, that is one less post for our main contributors to have to add. Having one contributor make 15 posts a day is hard work- so help them out bbs!
2.SPREAD THE OMNTD LOVE AROUND.
Link us in forums, rec us to friends, credit us as a source, give a shout out in your LJ. Any way you can help promote OMNTD, will help to increase our membership, and in turn increase activity in the comm.
Make sure people are aware that OMNTD and ONTD are two separate communities.
(Sometimes people misread the acronym, and assume we are one in the same- thus missing out on our greatness).
3. UNDERAPPRECIATED ARTISTS ARE ENCOURAGED TOO!
Don’t feel that you only have to post about popular/mainstream entertainment, such as Big Bang or Boys Over Flowers. All of us are willing to learn more about the K-scene, and if something isn’t getting enough love, make a post, and educate us on them.
4. LAYOUT HELP NEEDED BY OUR MEMBERS.
We’re looking to make the info page more streamlined, and are considering a new layout of the main page. If you have super html/graphics skills, and are willing to help OMNTD become even more awesome, let us know!
5. RECOMMEND TO US GOOD K-NEWS SOURCES!
We’re planning to build a list of sources that OMNTD members can use to make posts. Please suggest to us your favourite links. These can be general Korean entertainment news sites, or specific to an individual or band etc.
6. HELP US MAKE OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL STUNNING.
We’ve just created an OMNTD YouTube channel, and are looking for anyone who is competent in video editing or music mixing, to help us out. If you’re interested, post a comment in this entry or contact one of the mods.
7. MAKE GOOGLE RECOGNISE US AS A SEARCH RESULT!
If you google us, you will find this message pop up: ‘did you mean ohnotheydidnt?’.
So we’re proposing a trial: If every member could google ‘omona they didnt livejournal’ or ‘omonatheydidnt livejournal’ and click on the link to the community - hopefully google will start to recognise us as a valid search result.
8. COMMENT, COMMENT, COMMENT.
Don’t be scared. Posters appreciate comments to let them know you are interested in what they are contributing. All of us get lazy sometimes, but you will find that interacting with other members is really quite fun.
9. DON’T BE PUT OFF BY YOUR POST BEING REJECTED.
If your post is rejected due to a small error, don’t be shy about submitting it again.
We are not angry at you, we just have to make sure that the correct cyber-citizenry laws are followed. Reading the rules on the info page, and previewing your post before sending it in will help you with this.
Mods will always give you a reason as to why your post was rejected, so make sure to read the email reply, in order to fix up the necessary error, and then resubmit.
