i'm curious but do trainees get schooling or tutoring or something along those lines when they enter a company at this kind of age? i know we here of those in school etc. i was surprised tzuyu had to sit for this kind of exam. i assumed she was enrolled in class in sk.

She's taking the junior high exam so she can transfer the certification over to go to high school in Korea, IIRC. A lot of the foreign trainees don't really go to school, they tend to leave in the middle of school and don't have certifications to continue.

ah ok! i thought there would be some law that underaged children had to attend school public or private. i guess this isn't the case?

SM trainees (the US ones) transfer to kent foreign high school in korea and graduate from there
