I never got the big deal about Won Bin's looks until I saw him act, he p much floored me when I saw Guns & Talks (and that was before Ajusshi came out). After that, it can't be un-seen.

The biggest upgrade, tho, that was Lee Jun-ki. He went straight from beautiful elf prince prettier than most girls, to PHWOARRR myknickersjustcombusted levels of hot. He wouldn't be able to reprise his role in King & The Clown now, but the payoff is looking convincingly manly in the magistrate costume from Arang & the Magistrate.

Song Joong Ki is probably an actual vampire, he doesn't look any different now from when he went in.

OMG, WB in Guns & Talks was so cute! I watched Ajusshi first though, but ugh so cute and so different from when he acted in that one drama with Song Hye Kyo and Song Seung Hyun. He was bad in dramas, but then again he said he doesn't like acting in dramas.

Lee Jun Ki, acting got better too after military. I still need to watch The King & Clown, but then again Korean movies tend to have better directors so actors tend to do better. It is dramas that showcase their flaws. Lee Jun Ki acting in Arang got much more smooth, i wish the story was better.

Joong Ki... I just can't with him, he looks like a boyscout in his beret in all the photos that i've seen. It's hard to pick photos for him and Jae for this post. Hard to keep it to one, but I tried my best not to be biased.

tbqh Autumn in my Heart is kind of a cheesy classic early-2000s drama, no one is good in it (the fact that Song Seung Hun is the lead should tell you enough). I actually liked him in the jdrama he did with Fukada Kyoko right after, but movies are where he gets to be really fantastic. I just wish he'd pick a new project already, it's a crying shame that he basically ended his acting career at age 32 bc it's not like he's a one-hit wonder or didn't have the talent ( ... )

I do wonder sometimes if he is anti-social or something? It takes him awhile to recuperate his energy for another project. Which I don't mind, but like, he's wasting his youth and beauty that I so want to look at combining his skills ( ... )

also re: Guns & Talks - I have forever wanted to see him pair up in a project with Gong Hyo Jin after that, with a proper love line. Shame we'll never get one now, not unless he decides to come out of retirement.

Guns and Talks is really fantastic and enjoyable. Won Bin is great because he can totally fit any image and it's believable like in Mother. I too want him to be in something new but we'll have to see. I want him to pair up with Park Chan Wook one time.

Saw your comments on Arang and the Magistrate below and probably should give it a watch. I'm never able to finish a saeguk drama for some reason. ): I've tried here and there but alas...I always drop it, sometimes extremely close to the end.

Me too. I never understand the fuss about him but then I watched 'Mother'. Never thought he has an acting skills to pull the character off but he did. Then I watched Ajusshi and the rest is history.

I legit wonder what he do in normal days -- did he just sit and lay around without doing anything at all since he just basically non-exist in the entertainment world for the past 4/5 years...

He had tons of cf deals for years after Ajusshi (and even before that tbh), it's only in 2014 that his name fell out of the top 10 cf earner lists. Which is impressive considering he had no acting projects at all in that time, he got offered Jo In Sung's role in That Winter, the Wind Blows but turned it down bc he had a problem with the hero being a gambler.
