So, apparently Ian was found guilty on July 24th of sending sexually explicit pictures for gratification to a minor in the UK. Supposedly receiving a custodial sentence of 4 weeks and 7 years on the sex offenders register and will be deported to the US with full disclosure as a convicted pedophile after his 4 week sentence is served with the police file being transfered to the FBI. The pictures were apparently 12 photos of himself in different states of arousal and one after ejaculation, proving he'd gratified himself.

On one hand, I find this disturbing; on the other, I'm not the least bit surprised because I witnessed him cybering and talking sex on the phone with minors while he pleasured himself. That he sent those pictures just tells me he'd spoken to that girl the same way, although he's not been charged or convicted for such. While I harbour no animosity toward the man, I had hoped that he'd get more than a slap on the wrist and actually receive help and change for the better. As the below quote shows me, that is not going to happen.

"Some prisoners tried to kill me once in prison, but I had been staying in my cell because I was too weak so they didn't have a chance.
Moved into the hospital wing of the prison, but they aren't taking care of me and think I'm faking.
I may need to claim asylum after release because of the lies to the FBI in the US.
I wanted to send Nicole flowers, but her mother wouldn't let her accept them so she requested pictures instead and Nicole picked the pictures
All of the evidence wasn't shown to me until the day before trial, and we were unable to submit technical evidence as proof because the police had already released it.
My lawyer says I would probably win an appeal, but I'd have to pay for it out of pocket
I was assaulted by the police while begging for insulin in custody after shaking for hours"

He got someone to post this on his livejournal account. From what I've read, you are placed in a jail while you await trial and to serve your sentence unless either (or both) of these is to last longer than a year. Honestly, his "note" he asked someone to post for him seems typical of him. "I'm a victim, the world's out to get me and everyone's telling lies about me to make my life difficult." I would say at least half, if not all, of what he said up there is either completely false or a gross embellishment of what actually transpired. Something I know from firsthand experience that he does as he continues to spread lies about myself and other exes in this manor.

He seems to be saying he's innocent because Nicole picked the pictures. I guess he still doesn't get it. She was a minor. Whether she picked them or not, he should not have sent them; being an adult...who should know better...and all that. But he DID it and he DID send them, which makes him guilty. I'm sure he did a whole hell of a lot more than that and I'm sure he'd have sent her pictures regardless of whether or not the girl's mother had allowed the flowers. And really, I've never known him to spring for flowers except a single rose on Valentine's Day, being his trademark. I HAVE known him to send pictures. He even sent them to Heather, while she was a minor. Though, as far as I know, they didn't contain shots of him erect, just nude. The other thing is, age of consent in the UK is 16. He's been known to latch onto those technicalities to get around guilt of immoral actions. But the age of consent where he still maintains an address, being OR, is 18. So, while he remained on US soil, he was STILL breaking the law even after she turned 16. Claims of intending to take her to Scotland where he could legally marry her don't matter. He'd have been breaking the law the moment he stepped foot in the US again. He did this before as well. His excuse to me when I was being cooperative with the police two years ago was that Heather was legal in TX. Um, sorry, but the laws of OR apply to you and she WASN'T as, while she could have sex under the age of 18, she could only be with someone no older than 19...Ian was about a decade too old *laugh*

Unconfirmed, but I've heard he is facing 19 counts in the US. Which seems both high and low to me. Unless he does get convicted in the US and gets more than a little custodial sentence, I think he's just going to go back to chasing after minors. He seems to still be claiming innocence in "his" post, which tells me nothing is going to change. Thing is, he'll keep pushing the boundaries and keep getting worse until he IS caught and convicted accordingly. Then again, maybe he'll just continue doing all that anyway and I'm just being hopeful that he'll grow and turn onto a better path. The little I've heard about the UK case places him miles worse and more daring than he was 2/3 years ago when I was getting to know him and living with him.

It's just sad. He's a sad, sad man who needs a lot of help because he's so very messed up.
