So shouldn't we try to help them even more now that it's clear they're risking their lives? I appreciate knowing what's going on, but I can't on good conscience let people risk their lives for me now that everything here is relatively stable.

If you can find some rope, I'll show you where the hole is. It's a pretty big drop. If we can reach them, it'll probably take a few people to pull them out again.
