I really enjoy having my HTC Desire. I use it for all manner of things. I don't think I will ever forget the delightful cognitive dissonance that was set up by using the web browser and a smart phone app to tune my oud at Surveying Expedition.
But sometimes I get thrown by basic things, and one of the embarrassing side effects of having my phone is that I occasionally dial people unintentionally.
I will be scrolling through my contact list seeking the number I wish to dial, and the touch screen will, seemingly at random, though more likely because I am being hasty or careless or clumsy, decide that I 'tapped' rather than 'slid my finger over' a particular number. And it commences the call, and I get flustered and hit the hardware 'home' button instead of the software 'end call' button, and often by the time I get back to the screen with the software 'end call' button on it, there is a voice saying 'Hello. Hello?' And I have to apologise and explain, feeling like a complete idiot the whole while.
And even if I do hit the 'end call' button, the person I accidentally called often calls me to ask why I called them, and I still have to explain.
Oh well. This activity at least keeps my blushing reflex well exercised. *blush*
