Character Information

General
Canon Source: Fairy Tail
Canon Format: Manga
Character's Name: Gazille Redfox (alernate spellings are Gajeel Redfox, Gazille Reitfox) Also known as Kurogane, The Iron Dragon or Iron Dragon Gazille.
Character's Age: Unknown. Though he looks like he could be in his early to mid 20s
Conditional: If your character is 13 years of age or under, please clarify how they will be played. N/A

What form will your character's NV take? This will be round about what his NV will look like. The outer casing will be a dark metal of some sort, black steel or titanium mostly to protect the device and suit it's carrier. The "screen" portion slides out to reveal a keyboard underneath and can lay flat or tilt up. There is a camera at the top part of the "body" of the device. The screen is made of a crystal called Lacrima from his world. It is used for both speaking long distance to others and for watching any recordings which it can project from the crystal to hover a few inches off the screen. It has a few prominent bolts on the back for show/access into the device. He most likely has some sort of blues or jazz ringtone, though it also has the option to set "iron man" as well. It has a small cellphone charm of a Pantherlily, his beloved partner in crime.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Gazille is a Mage, specifically he uses Dragon Slayer magic. A dragon slayer is rare and special because they need to have either been taught by a living dragon, or had special Lacrima implanted in their bodies to give them power. In Gazille's case, he had the Iron Dragon Metalicana as his teacher and father figure. He was raised and taught to use his element, which allows him to turn his limbs and body into metal. He can extend and harden any limb into a weapon, either a pole-arm/club, which he can extend more pole-arms from, or even a blade. He can also create steel rods, in varying length or size, or small bladed weapons (like throwing knives). He has been known to bolt his victims to things or bind them with metal. He can also extend spikes from his heels to hang upside-down from beams or the like. We can assume he is capable of creating claws or other such extensions to help with climbing or running on slick surfaces.

Furthermore, he can harden his skin with iron scales, protecting him from most physical attacks. The metal that covers his body is stronger than most but, with effort, incredible amounts of strength or power, one can crack, damage or otherwise penetrate his defenses, though it is highly unlikely. It is even stated during his battles with Pantherlily, who wields a huge Zanbatou type sword that can cut through iron, that Gazille's steel skin is tougher than average and he's surprised he can't damage it. Like Natsu, he can eat his element to replenish his strength, any sort of metal or scrap metal will do, but he can not consume his own. Lastly, he has what is called a breath weapon, where he basically roars and projects a strong, heavily damaging, whirling blast of death shrapnel at his opponents.

A Dragon Slayer isn't just about his incredible ability to manipulate elements, they are also given heightened senses. Their sense of smell being the most prominent, being able to track someone by scent with ease. Their reflexes seem to be incredibly sharp, beyond a typical human level, especially for Gazille. It has been shown many times in canon that he can move to intercept or dodge attacks in the blink of an eye. Their sense of hearing seems to be keen as well seeing as he was able to interpret Natsu's incoherent mumbling. His sense of sight seems to be fairly normal, though his eyes are unique compared to the fire-breathing counter-part. The red irises have dark, slitted, dragon-like pupils. It hasn't been revealed if this makes his sight any better or not. It could just be a cosmetic difference.

All in all, like Natsu, Gazille possesses an incredible amount of strength and an undying will. His stamina and endurance seem to go on damn near forever, and it takes beating him until he is incapacitated to stop him. Add the fact he can turn his skin into metal and you've got quite the foe to reckon with. It is definitely ill-advised to get on his bad side. It takes Natsu's encouragement, but even after he's completely worn out, beaten and apparently out of magic, he managed to stand, summon more strength and power to transform his arm and pin the foot of a mechadragon in place. He proceeded to hold it there while the machine struggled and Natsu tore a hole through it's torso. He also seems fairly resilient to electrical attacks, having taken quite a few strong blasts from Luxus, he still got up to keep fighting or stagger off. It also appears that only Natsu can heat his metal enough to the point that it becomes pliable, he even suggests at one point that he melt it down to wield something shut.

Here is a wiki detailing his various attacks.

Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? N/A
Weapons: N/A, he doesn't need a weapon, he IS a weapon.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: Not much is known about Gazilles past. But he has done a lot in canon. So here is a wiki for that.

Point in Canon: Volume 23, Chapter 197, Bye Bye Fairy Tail, pg 15ish. Basically after their ruse to help Mystgun/Gerard restore order to Edolas, they are returned to Earthland via a magical force called an Anima. It opens a portal between worlds and is casting all magic from Edolas back to Earthland where it belongs. They are literally sucked off the ground and pulled through dimensions with this magic. Somewhere along the lines he will be spat out into Siren's Port, instead of his home, via the Pull.

Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history: N/A

Character Personality:At first glance Gazille is cold, ruthless and fearsome, to the point that even his guild-mates at Phantom were extremely wary of him. Despite being praised by a guild member, the man interrupted his meal so he bashed him with one of his iron clubs. He gladly attacks Fairy Tail with absolutely no provocation and when half-destroying their home (which was empty at the time) doesn't rile them up for a war, he seeks out three innocent members, beats them within an inch of their life and bolts them to a tree, leaving a calling card. During the whole fight to follow he seems to have no remorse or care for anyone but himself, though he appears to have an utmost loyalty to his guild. He remains on the sidelines for a good portion of the war, observing, waiting for Master Makarov to leave due to an order given by Jose, his guild master. He joins the fray the moment Makarov is gone, taking out several of his own guildies in the process.

Also during this time Gazille proves that he can be extremely cruel and sadistic. Later, he returns with Lucy, who he beat unconscious and he delivers her obediently to his master. All of his guildies look on with worry and concern that she has been killed by him because they can't get money for her if she's dead. He responds by kicking her in the stomach to make her cough and sputter, showing she's still alive. He later bolts her to a wall and plays a morbid game of darts, simply because he is bored, nearly hitting her on a few occasions. His guildies look on and try to stop him, but he head butts one of them into the floor to make him shut up. Despite that they keep trying to tell him she isn't worth anything dead and that Jose would be upset if she died, he simply responds by saying he'd just blame all of them for it. As he berates Fairy Tail for being "Trash" Lucy speaks up against him. He seems to be enjoying himself as they go back and forth, finally deciding he's going to test a theory by throwing a dart straight at her. Said dart would have hit if it weren't for Natsu conveniently showing up.

Gazille ultimately has respect for strength. It leads me to believe that the only reason he was with Phantom Lord was because he thought they were the strongest guild in the Kingdom of Fiore. It's fairly obvious anyone he considered beneath him wasn't worth his time, judging by how he treated his guild-mates. Other than the Element 4, whom he at least had a mutual respect for, Gazille only answered to his Guild Master. Though once he and Phantom Lord were defeated Gazille seemed to change for the better. The cruel and overly sadistic side of him all but vanished, though you can still see a sort of Malkavian glint is his eye or a mischievous twist to his grin.

He gets excited when posed with a challenge, especially if it's a fight with someone or something much stronger than him. He's not afraid to die and has a big enough ego to fuel his confidence in himself. Though he isn't a fool, he knows when he's been beat or when a challenge is too much for him even with help, and will retreat to regroup if need be. But when it comes to protecting Fairy Tail or nakama, he will keep fighting until he dies. It's proven time and again that he is extremely loyal to those he respects or cares for.

He's stoic, reserved and distant, carrying on with the same cold disposition. He's crude in many ways but it's later revealed that the man is intelligent, cunning and perceptive. After joining Fairy Tail he seems to desperately try to prove that he wants to genuinely be one of their Nakama, despite what he'd done to them in the past. He finally starts to show remorse and guilt for his actions, going so far as to not fight back when three guild members attack him. He even jumps in the way of a lightning bolt aimed at Levy, taking the hit for her instead. Throughout the manga he continues to prove himself trustworthy and protects his comrades, taking the bullet in at least three other instances.

Despite his rivalry with Natsu, he does look out for the brash, headstrong fire-eater and his friends. Gazille seems to do well with working in the background to help accomplish something, showing up a few times when the group needs a hand. During the conflict in Edolas he played a huge role by freeing Erza and Gray so they may assist Natsu, Wendy and the cats. He later even provides a distraction in the city streets so the others may go on with their mission. He doesn't seem at all bothered with doing the dirty work. In fact Makarov himself asked him to become a Double Agent and sent him after his son to learn his location and current plans.

Gazille has shown, on a few occasions, that he does care and tries his best to be accepted. He even goes so far as to write a song to tell how he feels, and though he sucks at singing and playing the guitar,(though, according to gray his lyrics are great) he preforms on stage (after restraining Mira to do so x__x). His caring and compassionate side comes out in his own, awkward way, having a very Tsundere personality, but all in all he just wants to fit in.

For instance, when he finds out he's the only dragon slayer without a cat, he goes searching all over the city for one. He only meets his partner in Edolas and they fight each other until they are interrupted, gaining respect for one another. The entire time he's determined to make Pantherlily his cat. After returning to Earthland, Gazille is upset and concerned when he doesn't see Pantherlily. Though when the cat, now much smaller in form, appears... he quickly scoops him up into a hug and literally bursts into tears because he's so happy to see him. This is the first, and last time we see Gazille act in such a way, but it's safe to say he's got a soft squishy side under all that hard metal exterior.

In some ways Gazille can be sort of cute with his tough love and concern for his guild-mates. He ultimately just wants to look out for them and help where he can. He seems to be genuinely humbled by the fact he was invited into the guild and I believe it's because of this acceptance that he tries so hard to be one of them. Despite the rocky start they have started treating him like Nakama and he's proved himself time and again as a worthy addition to the guild. He'd do anything to protect his new home and friends and proudly wears the symbol of Fairy Tail.

Conditional: Personality development in previous game: N/A

Character Plans: Personally, I'd love to see him become a double agent, working between the two factions, or possibly working for the Neutral group against SERO or AGI. If either group offers him enough they may gain his loyalty. I could see Gazille working as a bounty hunter as well. I'm not entirely sure what sort of day job he'd have, I could see him doing any sort of security to something as silly as a fry cook. He'll probably get his own place and immediately scout out the town, learn his way around and try to find a job or jobs. Ultimately he's going to have the most fun running around and stirring up trouble in the darkness. If he meets up with Natsu he may join the other for any shenanigans there as well. There will probably be property damage.

Appearance/PB: His first appearance. Then, After he joins Fairy Tail. He's tall, lean and muscular. He has long dark hair and red eyes with draconian pupils. His right arm is scarred but the rest of his body appears untouched. He has bolt piercings all over his body, many of them on his face. He tends towards darker clothing, mostly black or shades of gray. He generally just looks badass, tending towards combat boots, long coats or practical gear.

Writing Samples

First Person Sample
[The feed blinks on to show Gazille, bolted brow furrowed as he seems to be fiddling with and figuring out his NV. He tilts his head, snorting some and smirking a little at his own image, baring sharp canines.]

Handy little thing. [He muses to himself, still prodding around on it's touch pad. He hmm's thoughtfully then finally addresses his audience.] Anyone seen a little black cat, he has round ears and a scar beside his left eye? Goes by the name of Pantherlily. He's gotto be here... we were all sent through together

Any other fairy butts out there? C'mon, I can't be the only one. [A pause for a response then an exasperated sigh, he's just a little impatient. He's looking kind of concerned here.]

Shit. What the hell is this...? [And the feed abruptly cuts out.]

Third Person Sample

Gazille certainly hits the ground upon entering Sirens Port, but he doesn't do so running. Instead he's unceremoniously tossed across the field, kicking up a cloud of dust in his wake. He finally comes to a stop, groaning and coughing to try and clear his lungs. He lays there for a moment feeling dizzy and woozy, aching all over from his prior battle and feeling more empty of magic than he's ever been before. He pushed his limits too far after all, even if it was necessary, he was lucky he hadn't died. Even if he'd managed a small meal of metal before hand, it was only enough to keep him on his feet.

He shifted slowly, hissing as his body protested the movement and pushing himself up onto his hands and knees. It hadn't occurred to him that he wasn't back in Earthland or Magnolia. The aches, pain, dizziness or sickness were simply masked by his condition before being thrust into this other world. It wasn't until he looked up, blinking blearily around the baseball diamond that he realized he wasn't in Kansas anymore. Beyond the broken chain-link fence with welcome signs he could see the looming city beyond. His eyes widened a moment as he stared in awe at the sight.

Where the hell was he?

The breeze brought with it a waft of machinery, humans, chemicals and blood. There was a metal scraping as a door sealed shut and he turned his piercing red gaze toward the footsteps to follow. He quickly gathered himself to his feet, swaying where he stood and nearly toppling over in his efforts, hit by a dizzy spell when he got up too fast. Before he could do much of anything he was greeted by several people. He hesitated a moment, uncertain about them, but they seemed friendly enough if a little curious. They wandered around him and asked him questions, to which he simply followed them with his eyes and answered somewhat distantly. He followed them as he was ushered below to be tested, tense and uncertain, disoriented and confused. He flinched here or there but soon realized they weren't trying to hurt him, in fact they kept insisting they were only trying to help. His eyes kept landing on the strange soldiers by their door, keeping a silent vigil.

The more they questioned and prodded, the more annoyed he became. He answered with short, quick responses, barely giving them much information. He was too distracted by the fact he seemed to be alone. But if the others came here too... if these people got to them first they must be here somewhere! He had to find them.

"Where are they? Where are my Nakama--" A cotton swab was shoved into his mouth and he winced, almost biting the damn thing in half. He rolled his tongue around in his mouth, glaring and snarling at the humans as they didn't give him any answers. They just ignored his questions and kept pushing with their own. He'd had enough. He pushed them aside and got to his feet, staggering for the door. But he was stopped by a large, devoid man. He stared the other down menacingly, fists clenching as he prepared to fight his way out. But the people behind him simply told the man to "Let him go. We're through for now." and the guy stepped aside.

Gazille only glanced back once, committing these people to memory and making a note to never forget that smell. Before they could change their mind he opened the heavy door to leave the dugout. Behind him one of the others called out directions, telling him of the starter apartments on the grounds. He barely heard them, not bothering to stick around much longer. He had to find his Nakama. But before that, he helped himself to a bit of metal, tearing apart some of the bleacher with his bare hands and teeth. He carried it with him as he stalked toward the city.
