'Skins and craziness

Nov 30, 2008 15:20

Well, I'm sitting at my mom's house waiting for my laundry to get finished so I can drive back to Columbus, and watching the Redskins game with Cooley, all by ourselves, because my stepdad just took my mom to the ER. We think she got food poisoning last night from Outback. We had dinner there, but all three of us had different food, so she was the only one who got sick--and violently ill, at that. They are giving her fluids and some pain pills and stuff so she ought to be home soon, but it's pretty scary.

We went to the movie last night, and my mom went home, but she was fine until about 10 when it came out of nowhere. We also had no hot water this weekend because the water heater died. So it was pretty crazy here.

I met my dad for breakfast this morning and now I'm just waiting for this game to be over (I think we are going to lose, argh) and my clothes to be done so I can drive home. Of course, it is raining. Of course. I was right though--I haven't written anything at all, so thank goodness I was done early, or I would be rushing to get finished tonight. As it is I can relax and get back to finishing the story next month. December is NaNoFiMo--National Novel Finishing Month, where you write an additional 25,000 words, in editing or completion or whatever. Much more relaxing.
