Don't forget!!
Ohioana Book Festival
A “Good Roots” Celebration
Welcome to the first annual Ohioana Book Festival! This year’s festival, sponsored by the Ohioana Library, celebrates Ohio writers through the book Good Roots: Writers Reflect on Growing Up in Ohio, published in 2007 by Ohio University Press.
A full day of activities, free and open to the public, will take place on September 15, at the State Library of Ohio, 274 E. First Avenue, Columbus.
Nine of the contributors to Good Roots plus editor Lisa Watts will be joined by book critics and publishers to discuss writing, publishing, and growing up in Ohio. The visiting writers, Jill Bialosky, Dan Cryer, Michael Dirda, Elizabeth Dodd, Anthony Doerr, Dale Keiger, Julie Salamon, Scott Russell Sanders, and James Toedtman, will appear on panels, read from their work, and sign their books.

http://www.ohioana.org Look for a full report after the event. May or may not include me scaring the crap out of Michael Dirda, who I just found out is a member of the Baker Street Irregulars (Langdale Pike, 2002).
