[ EARTHSPHERE ] 01 // the irish pub
During this time of the year, Ireland is cold, humid, wet and rainy. It's a beautiful country, but it really does not have a very friendly climate when Winter comes by for a visit. Of course, the Irish are used to it, and possibly anyone from a colder climate, so Agnes Lilly isn't very bothered by it. Besides, it's warm inside the pub, so she's sitting alone at a table near the fireplace, to warm herself up, she has a pint of beer in front of her and an cellphone it a dead battery, earphones on, music muting the murmur of the people. She doesn't seem too interest in her surroundings, reading a book (she wears one of those handmade covers so that the most curious ones can't see what she's reading).
Outside, the rain pitter-patters against the windows. Although it's the afternoon, it almost seems it's night time. The sun is long gone and the gloomy sky of a late Winter in the mid afternoon it's making itself present. For a moment, the girl looks up and squints slightly.
She has been here before. She has been in this precise moment before, but it's strange how some things change. Like the man in a suit sitting at a bar, she wasn't there before. She checks her watch and then looks at the door, waiting for the short-haired woman to come in. She does after a while and Lilly goes back to her book. Some things don't change, either. Time travelling is not all that linear like the movies make it. People make different decisions, all the time.
