So I was out with my mom to get the N of my license at about 4:45 when we get to Access Nova Scotia. Apparently they close at 4:30... Well anyway. My mom had to do something at Sears so we went there. My brother needed a new TV because he broke his so I went to look at TVs while my mom was doing that. I found a pretty good one for a pretty good price. It is a 20" for $149 which goes on sale for $129 on the weekend. My mom also has 2x $20 gift certificate and like $75 in Sears money so that's $115 more off. After all that it's not going to cost much to get my brother a new TV. While we were there we were still trying to find a way to repair his old TV but people had trouble understanding what we were looking for. The spot where the coaxial cable connects to the TV broke off and was lost. In trying to find this part we determined it probably wasn't worth while fixing... But I did get my mom to buy some other stuff we needed. My dad "borrowed" a coaxial cable from my brother in exchange for a shorter (not long enough) cable which is how the connector got broken off in the first place so I got a 25 ft. coaxial cable to replace it so it wouldn't happen again. We went to the source to look for the TV connector and I found some stuff to replace the mess the cable guy made in the basement. Unfortunately the guy tightened the connectors too tight so I needed pliers to open them. On the first one the pliers slipped and due to the way it seemed natural for me to hold them I pinch/cut/bruised my finger really bad. I didn't want to bleed all over everything and my brother was with me so I went upstairs to wash it and stuff. He loosened them all while I was gone and apparently he did the same thing as me on his first try with the pliers but not nearly as bad. In any case, the picture looks significantly better in my room at least. With another splitter (I needed to use one of the old ones since I had 9 cables to plug in and we only bought an 8 way splitter) and an amplifier I think I can get it to the best possible with our nasty old coaxial cable. My parents still have to pay me back for the router I bought to replace ours that died. I still need to buy another router so we can connect all our computers at once. We had an 8 port one before it died and they only seem to sell 4 port ones now.
