Here's the deal: I want a new computer, but I don't want to learn and relearn all of the hardware compatability junk. Soooo... I would really appreciate it if all of you out there who have kept up with computers for all of these years did me a favor. Simply build your dream computer on paper. Tell me what you would put in it (I need make, model, I.D. #'s, the works). What motherboard, ram, etc. I would even like to know your preferred case and and cooling source, although I won't run liquid into my computer for cooling, and I won't use anything that I have to "make", and I REFUSE to overclock, or whatever it's called, anything. I don't have the patience to deal with all of that.
So, from case to fan size, from monitor to speakers, from mobo to DVD burner; I would like to know your dream computer from technology that has been released within two weeks of March 8, 2006. I don't want to wait 6 months for some awesome new crap. All I want to do with my computer is search the internet, listen to music, and play some games. Basically, I want a computer capable of playing whatever game is the standard for "advanced" nowadays. I know not too long ago it was Doom 3. Who knows now.
One last thing. It would be nice to have at least a short explanation as to why you would choose what you chose. Not an essay on every component, just a general overview.
Thank you in advance. And, for your help, if your computer is the one I chose to build, I will give you $50. Yes, really. I can actually afford to pay other people to do my dirty work now. Granted, I have to work 70 hours a week to do it... but, oh well.
