SO, UH. I've not been posting on here much recently, mostly because I keep saying everything I want to say on twitter and forgetting to post about it instead. Not cool, self. To make up for it, have a gigantic post that's probably boring to everyone except me!
ice dancing
I've developed a love for ice dancing recently. It's funny, I'm not a fan of pairs skating at all--singles skating has always been more interesting to me--but ice dancing is just beautiful. Here are some of my favorite ice dancing pairs:
Federica Faiella and Massimo Scali from Italy:
(Massimo is also Jeremy Abbott's boyfriend. CUTEST COUPLE EVER TBH.)
Meryl Davis and Charlie White from USA:
(On a shallow note, Meryl Davis is possibly one of the most beautiful people in the world.)

Kaibutsu-kun
I've been very sadly lax in my drama-watching recently, but julietbunny decided I HAD TO SEE Kaibutsu-kun and watched episode one with me via IM. She was completely and totally right. Ohno is amazing, but you guys probably already know that. He should have been doing dramas years and years ago so we would have had more of him, dammit. The kid is annoying but I can't bring myself to care when the rest of it is so cheesy and awesome. Franken is totally my favorite ♥ THIS DRAMA IS A KEEPER.
Miss Universe costumes
I'm going to go ahead and confess here what anyone on my twitter feed already knows all too well: I actually really, really love the Miss Universe pageant. Well, mostly I love seeing the national costumes if I'm being honest. I've spent way too much time recently looking and talking about the costumes, so I figured I'd share some of my favorites with you guys.
My shallow, non-costume-related favorites:
So her costume leaves something to be desired, but LOOK HOW FUCKING FIERCE SHE IS. I CANNOT EVEN TAKE IT.
She looks so happy and beautiful! And her costume's great too! ILU MISS MEXICO ♥
One of the few tasteful, simple costumes I've seen, but it somehow isn't boring at all. BEAUTIFUL.
My DOING-IT-RIGHT, definitely costume-related favorites:
Not only is Miss Jamaica ridiculously beautiful, HER COSTUME IS A BUTTERFLY. It's just extravagant enough to be awesome, but still looks super-cute.
USA USA, etc etc. She looks like an amazing big golden bird of prey and I adore her.

Anyone else strongly reminded of Bad Romance? YOU GO, TURKEY.
Miss Guam is stunning and she's rocking the hell out of that foliage and pink featheriness :D

I've been completely drawn in by tumblr, but that has more to do with other people's tumblrs than my own. Here are three of my favorites:

Tara (True Blood, not Modlin)(POSSIBLY TRIGGERY NON-EXPLICIT DISCUSSION OF SEXUAL ASSAULT and spoilers)
I've about had it with people saying that Tara needs to get over what's happened to her already. Okay, no. She's been kidnapped, tortured, and raped repeatedly. I think she has the right to be upset about that, especially within the first few episodes after escaping. My mother complained about her needing to get over it, as did a high school friend and a few people on my facebook feed. It would be extremely unrealistic, not to mention horrible, of the writers to just ignore what she's been through in order to spare the viewers her pain. Every single episode is Sookie-angsts-about-Bill hour, let Tara have her damn pain. I'm so happy that she's in a support group now, I honestly did not expect that much.
Nathan Chen
Holy shit, this kid is EPIC. Not only is he an amazing figure skater AT TEN, but he's also a gymnast, a pianist, and a year ahead of his class in school. And he's an adorable little thing, too.
THIS KID IS TEN YEARS OLD, YOU GUYS.
moving back to school/scheduling
I move back to school on Sunday and I am super, super excited. I'll have eight housemates, several of whom I already like a lot (hi polysweet and beastlover!), and I'll have my own room. I'll be off the meal plan for the first time ever, so we'll see how that goes. It's possible that I may forget to eat pretty frequently when the food's not already made for me. %uh. I also need to get my schedule straightened out a lot--I'm dropping about a billion classes and adding just as many to replace them. I'm taking 18.5 credits. This semester is going to be miiiiserable.
