February Challenge Request Post
What exactly did Phinease Nigellus Black do to become the least popular headmaster Hogwarts ever had? Why did Salazar Slytherin and Godric Gryffindor have their falling out? How did the cockatrice get loose at the last Triwizard Tournament in 1792?
In February we will be hosting the Anytime-But-Now Challenge for stories and art set in any era, past or future, except during Harry's years at Hogwarts. Thanks to dbassassin for suggesting the idea!
We invite both members and non-members to comment here with up to five prompts. The prompts can be as specific or as general as you wish; the only requirement is that they may not focus on romantic relationships. We encourage both obscure and original characters, and stories that blend in muggle history.

Please feel free to make requests even if you don't think you'll be able to participate, and remember that the prompts may be for fic, art, or both. Collaborations between artists and authors are welcome.
The post will be closed to new prompts at midnight PST on February 1st and claims will begin on February 2nd. As usual, both members and non-members will be welcome to claim prompts.
