Notes: The death mentioned is some random character not the one who is “dead” in the season finale. I say “dead” because I don't believe it until I see a body.
The funeral was somber. Annie didn't know who it was but she remembered that Davis was shocked to learn of the person's death. She told him she would go with him to the graveyard. The dirge to the funeral was sad and the family were crying. This was Annie's first New Orleans funeral she saw up close.
Afterward, when the body and spirit were laid to rest, the music picked up. Davis took her hand and whispered in her ear that she was going to witness something truly unique to a funeral. The Second Line started and the family of the deceased were no longer sad, but dancing and looked as if they were almost shaking off their sadness through the performance of the Line.

Davis didn't believe in superstition but this was getting fucking ridiculous. First off, his neighbors, annoying as they were at first, decided to move for some unknown reason. He decided as a 'welcome to Treme' gift to the neighbors, he set up his speakers and started to blare anything he thought they should be educated in.
That lead to number two. They called the cops and he got slammed with a ticket about something having to do with the noise. He fought it but that lead to him getting arrested. That was the number two.
Number three was that he met Annie's ex-boyfriend Sonny for the first time in jail. To be nice about the entire situation, they were separated before any real damage was done.
