Castiel did not speak as he watched her with interest as her frail human vessel was doing such a human action. “I was asked by Dean to assist you.”
A knowing smile spread across her lips, “No he didn’t. They don’t even know I’m alive.” She dusted remnants of ash off her jacket and directed her attention back to him. “Tell me the truth.”
“I wanted to help you to make sure you were safe. It is dangerous.”
Anna’s eyes lowered in sadness, “You’re lying Cas.”
He nodded and before disappearing, “I loved you all along.”

The kiss that Anna gave him came out of nowhere. The truth be told, he had not been expecting it. They were in Bobby’s house with a variety of humans and while not in the line of sight of anyone, the intimate action could have been done in private.
“What was that for?” He asked, glancing around the kitchen. No one was in there but he was still cautious.
She stood closer to him so their arms touched, “I’m thanking you.” A smile playing on her lips.
“For?” His head tilted to the side.

Castiel came into the final battle fighting for the Winchester, his angelic brothers and sisters, the humans he had come to befriend, Heaven, all of the good that came with humanity, and of course, his Father. All of this was his primary concern. The last thing on his mind was his rebellious sister Anna who had abandoned efforts to stop Lucifer and had underground. She had been difficult to find and soon, even the side of evil gave up their search for her.
Anna was fighting for her life. She had abandoned human beings long ago when she realized that the people of Earth were modeled after angels. They manipulated, lied, and cheated and overall, she felt much hatred to their ways. She decided to hide and wait out the Apocalypse she knew was going to succeed.

Anna was patient in the coffee shop on some desolate highway. The waitress had been by her table several times, eagerly asking if she could refill the angel’s coffee cup every few minutes. Anna had barely sipped the lukewarm coffee since she had arrived two hours earlier and waiting for any word of the final battle. They had asked her not to participate due to her “condition” which meant they really did not trust her since she had escaped from her heavenly prison. But she waited until she heard the bell next to the door chime and she stood to face her favorite boys.
She ran up to Castiel to give him a hug, “I’ve been waiting for you.”

Angels were not allowed to procreate. They were highly capable of such a process but it was deeply frowned upon. They were not able to procreate with humans because that was a virtual impossibility. How this came to be, no one knew but Castiel willed it as their Father’s doing. And their Father, of course, could not procreate unless it was his will and notified the other angels at his disposal. There had been a wild rompus when He announced the Virgin Mary was going to bear him a son.
So when Anna showed up with a pregnancy test in her hand, it did not take long before they figured out who was the father.
