“Oh.” Alice exclaimed as she sat in the middle of the Cullens' attic. Her legs were crossed and her hands sat gently in her lap. Moments before, she was enjoying the view of Jasper bent over, looking through a box for an old camera. She was admiring the way she could make out his muscles despite his loose shirt and the way his golden hair fell across his features which made her want to...
And then the vision came. Her gift was definitely inopportune sometimes.
“Alice?” Jasper asked, squatting in front of her, his hands on her shoulders, rubbing circles to comfort her from the after effects.
“It's all right.” A small smile spread across her face. “I win the bet with Emmett. Edward asked Bella to marry him and she said yes.”
He grinned like a fool, “Congratulations.” He gave a small kiss on her forehead.
She wanted the kiss to last longer but relented, “Do you remember when you asked me to marry you?”
He sat fully in front of her, his previous task forgotten, “Quite clearly. You knew before I even asked Carlisle's permission.”
She giggled lightly before proceeding, “Do you remember the wedding?”
“Vaguely. I do remember the wedding night.”
She playfully hit him as she recalled the events. Her wedding dress was very exquisite with her underthings being simple. After they exchanged vows and received well wishes from their family, Alice and Jasper retreated to their suite where he was all too happy to become familiar with his new bride. However, she insisted that she change into something that didn't cost a fortune. At the new sight of her, his carnal instincts became more apparent.
While her mind was in the past, Jasper had sneaked closer and began peppering kisses from ear lobe to throat. Fully knowing what was going to trigger him, she moved to sit on his lap, “Perhaps I'll buy Bella some special things as a wedding present. I'm sure Edward would enjoy them too.”
“You're a very smart woman, Mrs Whitlock.” Jasper grumbled into her ear, using her married name. “Do you need any help choosing?”
Alice dipped her head away from his, breaking contact, and caught his eyes. They were dark with lust and sudden madness. Swift but gently, she stood and gathered his hands in hers. His gaze caught hers and she began to walk backwards. With a coy smile, “I may need a second opinion.”
He dipped his head like a good Southern gentleman. Instead of his fake accent that was used among humans, he spoke in his Texan one, “I am at your service, ma'am.”
At that, Alice dragged him out of the attic and into their bedroom.
