Today GameStop announced the following:
"Reserve StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and receive an invitation to the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty beta. Available online and in-store while supplies last. Once you receive your Beta Code your order cannot be canceled."
Oh the power of incentives. As much as I want to put the down-payment just to play a beta, I may just wait till the actual game's release (and considering how many times Blizzard's delayed SCII, that's having a lot of faith and patience).
But I think it'll all be worth it once I get a copy. For one thing, I plan on shelling out some dough for the neat Collector's Edition:
At $100, I think it's worth it, especially 'cause the game by itself costs $60. All the extra stuff (artbook, comic, soundtrack, behind-the-scenes DVD, the original StarCraft games on a USB drive, and DLC for both StarCraft II and World of WarCraft) for an additional $40 is a pretty sweet deal!
