Add this to my loot: a lunch. A good friend took me out to lunch to an Irish pub in the city~ My first legal drink in a licensed business. >> It was fun. ^.^ I HAD A GUINNESS PIE. :D

Had the bookstore and the steak house today. Time seems to go so quickly while working in the bookstore; all I was doing was putting stock on the shelves and talking to customers, really. It's just so...non stressful, and I'm not rushing, overly trying to please others, like being a waitress requires. It's to say that I rather the bookstore, WAY MORE. It's going to get really bad near Christmas since I KNOW then that the steak house will want me to work lunches to, and the bookstore will want me to work more, and yes...I'm going to have to have awkward conversations. T_T It's just annoying, because I was told that at the steak house I'd only do dinners, but another waitress is leaving and it's busy with the Christmas season - well, it wasn't tonight. We had THREE TABLES. A total of TEN PEOPLE. I have been told though that Tuesdays are extremely slow. Needless to say I got to leave work about an hour and a half earlier than usual. I didn't really mind though, I was tired, after working in the bookstore in the morning, going to lunch, etc etc.

OH. On the way to work at the steak house in the evening the BUS RAN OUT OF PETROL LOL. I was so amused, and so was the bus driver, and all the other passengers, which was good. I just sort of assumed that the gauge must have broken, and that bus drivers aren't in charge of the buses and their petrol and filling them. It stopped RIGHT off the crossroads of an intersection. We had to walk to the next stop and soon a replacement bus came and we got a free ride. :D Also on buses; going into the city I had a bit of a wild driver. He seemed to accelerate fast, and just at this particular place he ran STRAIGHT over the curb SO FAST and it was SO COOL. xD We all were suspended in the air for a couple of seconds. *_______*

Australia managed to win the second Test match in the Ashes series against England in Adelaide. It was quite the AMAZING MATCH.

When I came home I turned on the news and saw the end of a story about New Zealand and becoming a state of Australia? It was just sort of reporting opinions, but I can't find anything about it on the internets. I mean, I'm sure it's not HAPPENING, but it was interesting. I know it's all probably speculation but the PM of NZ, Helen Clark, was on there. At least...I think...>> LOL I have no idea do I. :| Is why I'm trying to find out more, but yeah - it's most likely weird random reporting trying to get attention. DAMMIT THEY SUCCEEDED. D:

Who likes Kevin Rudd more than Kim Beazley. :| Dammit that was a bad day for Beazley. ;_; Loosing the leadership of his party and then minutes later being told your brother died?? GAH. ;_; Then standing up in front of Australia and speaking...;_;. At least now we have a possibility of
understanding Rudd rather than Beazley, I am sad to say.

I find myself nervous talking about politics since I don't really think I know enough about it. :| BUT HEY LOL. I'M NOW 18. I HAVE TO VOTE NOW. O_o

Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon? To explain, in someone else's words (credit to them!): But this isn't 'Australia's favourite album' it is exactly the same as that favourite movie thing they had. It is 'People who bothered to vote's favourite album - apparently'.

ETA; What ze hell. Happy Feet is an Australian movie? LOOOLZ. TAPDANCING PENGUINS. I've always wondered what the hell is so good about penguins. :\ Why does everyone like penguins? I am indifferent to penguins. Until good evidence is presented and fully comprehended and contemplated, I shall most likely remain indifferent to penguins. Iwillstillmostlikelyseethismovie.
