Interview at Google tomorrow

Sep 25, 2007 20:23

Should I wear my 'Google' shirt to the interview at Google tomorrow morning, or should I wear my IETF shirt? Or should I try for something nicer than a geeky t-shirt and black jeans? Keep in mind, this is Google we're talking about it. It might well be to my detriment to wear a suit. :-)

Update: I think it went really well.

An engineering position, I presume? I'd suggest you wear slacks and a button-down shirt, which is about the nice end of what the engineers there seem to wear.

And good luck!

Wear the IETF shirt if it's not faded and has no holes. Be prepared to give a good reason for owning it. Wearing a G shirt feels too much like fanboying to me.

Are you interviewing in SRE or engineering or some other group?

Good luck!

I was kinda thinking the same thing.

I believe I will be being interviewed for a position as a software engineer. I think that might correspond to being an SRE, but I'm not sure.

Thanks!
