Secret Nerd Glee
My mother and I were in a gardening centre this morning and, because this country, too, gets Christmas-obsessed far too early, we ended up trawling the pretty shiny decorations. One moment I am cooing like a cooing thing over an overly soft and cuddly hedgehog creature that could pass for a tribble, the next mother dearest comes up to me carrying a big blow-glass bird and goes (to paraphrase) "awww, it's so cute!".
And I, in my head, go "omg, it's a CHOCOBO!".
This may or may not have played a part in my assuring her that it's cute and would look good with the rest of our decorations. It is and would, but, you know. XD
