CHURCH OF LEMONS 2011
Hellooooooo, peoples and creatures of LJ!
It is that time of the year again. While the rest of the internet erupts in a nervous frenzy over NaNoWriMo, cantabrasil03 and omnicat are pleased to inform you that the Church of Lemons 2011 IS A GO!
For those who have not yet had the opportunity to be enlightened by the way of the Lemon, let me explain why this is such a blessed occasion.
The Church of Lemons is a month-long smut challenge centered around 1xR and other het pairings from Gundam Wing, as well as, this year, Gundam 00, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Bleach. Followers of the way of the Lemon flock together at the Love Reflection Mailing List to fill a whole month’s worth of pledges (= promises to submit, enforced by threat of whipping) of the sexiest fanwork they can create. And if our calendar is full and more convertees are still coming, who knows, we might get lucky and get multiple pledges a day!
This year, you can pledge fic, art and vids, and as if the wave of delicious, juicy, freshly made lemons wasn’t enough of a reward already, there are ~prizes~ to be won to boot! Oh, and there is that little detail about saving a Sinner’s soul from the taints of Heero and Relena alt-shipping, but never mind that.

cantabrasil03: You weren’t so concerned about its wellbeing when you cast Zechs as Relena’s boyfriend in that sinful vid of yours.
omnicat: And pitted Heero against Dorothy in the quest for Relena’s affections in that other vid.
wingzerohugs: BOTH OF WHICH WERE DEDICATED TO YOU, OMNI.
omnicat: Hey, I was last year’s Sinner and have behaved myself since my soul was saved. You’re still the one who made those vids. *shakes head* Oh, the temptations of the artist. Look what horrors they have wrought!
cantabrasil03: Luckily, there is a way to save you yet! If enough lemons are written to fill a calendar month, the divine powers of Vitamin C will cleanse those sins right outta ya.
omnicat: And if not, hey, it’s not like fire and brimstone are a bad thing.

Dates are still tentative at this point, but as in previous years, pledging will start some time after Christmas, and posting will be spread throughout February and early March. However, IT IS NEVER TOO EARLY TO CELEBRATE THE COMING OF THE LEMON!
