LOL. Honestly, I totally support this. XD For all she pissed me off, I liked very much her role in the whole thing, as, like, an abstract concept? And what she stood for, in terms of peace? People like Gandhi/Dalai Lama/etc are to be admired above everyone else, and it's sad that not enough people are likely to choose peaceful people as role models rather than violent ones.
So, it's a great thing to admire and aspire to, really. :D
Also, I hope your writer's block isn't TOO bad? ;__;
...you almost gave me a heart attack there. XD;; I keep forgetting you don't like her. (Sorry about that. Masturbating isn't a punishment? /shot)
Anyway. *HUG* Thanks. And yeah. I mean, just look at what Ghandi DID. What he accomplished, and HOW. I mean. *incoherent fangirl/humanist flail*
I'm not... really writer's blocked? Well, maybe a bit, but that's just because I'm tired. Once I kick my ass into gear and actually put a pen to paper, I'm off like a rocket. I just came across this meme on my f-list and felt like doing it. See above for why. :D
I find it so tear-jerkingly inspirational... people who not only believe in god, but are so damned STRONG that they can keep on working for it even through incredible hardship... or are so amazingly inspirational. First time I heard MLK's famous speech in the whole, I swear I cried.
I cannot contain how awesome this is. First off, anything with Ghandi and Relena on the same page deserves cookies!
But secondly? GW is the kind of fandom I don't think I'll ever really lose the love for, and the girls are a part of that. Too often they're underestimated, Relena especially. If there ever was a woman to emulate, it would be her. She's one of the strongest girl anime characters I've seen for a long time--very few come close.
I feel the exact same way. GW played such a huge part in my development from my late teens on, it's probably grown into my genes by now. Hopefully to some good effects. :P
Heh. I've mostly stopped messing with the Date Out Of Order option, except sometimes for translated Dutch fic, because nobody who watches my journal by way of their f-list can read it, anyway. But hey, it's not the end of the world, and I have "go ahead and comment on old junk if you feel like it" in my profile for a reason. ^_^
I just had to write something. I never understood and will never understand the hate Relena gets from fangirls. =__= I am a girl, I love GW and I think Relena is one of the strongest female characters ever written in anime...and all those other reasons you listed. =)
Thank you for writing this! (And sorry for commenting at such a random time!)
Just lurking. I don't have an account, but I looooove the vague updates and pics and other downloads. :3
So far, I have managed to find the good in everything about FT. It helps that I'm still reserving judgement on most things involving the old cast, because the plot twists and info-dumps are still coming strong. And, well, I think I can swallow pretty much anything as long as both Heero and Relena stay alive and don't make any move to reject each other. For real, that is. Brainwashed rejections don't even count. XD

I don't have much to say, but Relena is amazing, she amazed 15 year old me, and she amazes 25 year old me.
OH MY GOD I HAVE BEEN IN THIS FANDOM FOR 10 YEARS WTF?

The novel is driving me insane. I want to like it and hate it at the same time. Ughhhhh.
Sweet. The world needs more Relena fans and less rabid yaoi-fangirls who hate her. o___O;; *friends you*
