headlights look like diamonds
so glad i have off today.
on saturday, i had to get up early and go to my hold job and run a workshop, since they haven't replaced me yet. i left from there to meet mikael and ange on the east side and then we drove up to randalls island to see... ARCADE FIRE!
it was such a long day. an hour in line to get line, a couple hours sitting on the ground, and then 5 bands in total, in a hot, sweaty crowd.
we saw wild light, les savy fav, blond redhead, lcd soundsystem, and then arcade fire, of course. it was a long day, but we were nice and close to the stage.
arcade fire is so good in person. they sounded fantastic and they all put such passion and energy into the performance. they played everything i wanted to hear. the only disappointment is that they said they wouldn't be coming back to NYC for a couple years.
