I'm so sorry! Please forgive me, Nick wisked me away for a little bit after he asked and I've been so overwhelmed by it all. Oh--um, really? Sure! I'd like that? How is m that handsome boy of yours? I miss him! How are you for that matter?

Nick whisked you away, wow, and Henri didn't throw a hissyfit? Abime wouldn't let me out of his sight for days after we got engaged, you know. YES, you must come over! Show me the ring, is it very pretty? I hear from Abime that you can't walk properely, it's that big. I demand to see it. Mathieu is absolutely adorable I suppose, and I'm just peachy.

No, he's quite wonderful like that. He wouldn't? That's sweet! No, he knows when it comes to Nick it's not worth the argument. Besides, we'd been planning it for sometime, before he asked. It was quite funny---he saw my ring, and I told him about Henri and he told me about Rita. So it worked out.

Ugh, he and Nick I swear! Nick made a quip about it ruining the axis of the Earth because it was so heavy. It's lovely! Then I simply must visit! OH I can't wait to see you both. There is a large lack of female around here.

Wow, that's amazing, I thought he was the type to go mad about it. Abime wouldn't, it was sweet but in the end I had to go to classes, you know. Oh Dio! I haven't even owled him to say congratulations. Oh well, Abime will have done it for me.

How big is it, exactly? You HAVE to come and show me, I'm dying of suspense. Please, come visit, I'm going to have to hurt one of these annoying mothers that appear to have congregated in my house.

No, he'd the kind to guilt me about it when I get back. Or so I'm learning. Yes, I suppose so. I'm sure he has, not to worry.

I don't know! I haven't measured it or anything! I will, promise! No! Oh you poor thing, are they the kind that call their kids, 'my precious little gift'? I hate those!

Ooh, well, at least he hasn't thrown a hissyfit, I imagine that would be awful.

Put it on a scale of one to ten, one being a grain of sand and ten being the boulder behind Greenhouse 4. Yeeep, and the kind that also want to betrothe each other's children.

Yes, it would. Sad thing is I'd probably laugh. Which would only make it worse.

Um, I guess then it'd be a 4 1/2? It looks heavier than it is really. Oh, eccchk! You should pick your nose, wipe it on the couch, belch and things like that to gross them out. They may think Mat does the same and shut up!

It probably would.

4 1/2! My ring is only a 3 6/8! Eeek, I could never do that, I'd disgust myself.

Ugh, men.

Really? Well, my fingers are in great shape? Then do something like that, but that wouldn't disgust yourself? Greet them with wet hair?

Ugh.

Yes, but I do love my ring. Oh my, I imagine you'll have muscly fingers soon. I could give them bad coffee, you know how the French hate that.

That's what matters isn't it? That we love the ring? Not muscly! Just, not arthritic? Ohh, bad coffee! I like how your mind works!

Exactly right, that's what matters. I knew a girl who has a ring that hardly looks like it's there, but she loved it to pieces. Of course not arthritic! They'll never want to come around again, but then I'll be lonely.

But then you must weight bad company over no company. That's up to you.
