The tops. Number one. Nobody does it better.
Best Hugger - Yes, this is where I get sappy. I'm just going to come out and say it. I am a man who likes to cuddle. Yes, I like cuddling. Hey look, I said it again. Anyone who gives me flack about it, well, no hugs for you. You can talk to a million people about your problems, and maybe after talking to number one million and one, you start to feel better. There's two ways you can see it. Option A, it took talking to each of those million and one people to get what you needed to off your chest, or Option B, it was that one person who made all the difference. Having that one person listen to you makes it easier to breathe. The sound of their voice when they tell you everything is going to be alright makes it easier to find yourself again. Top that off with a hug, and you find yourself smiling sooner than you expected. One hug from my Carolee and I know I'm safe.
Best Bud - That'd be my man, Warrick. Imagine you're a twenty something year old kid. You've just left the only home you've ever had, and you're hundreds of miles from the people you know and love. You walk into this building, and there's so much going on you just stand off to the side, eyes wide, and mouth sealed shut because you don't even know who to introduce yourself to. That was me. It doesn't really matter that the first thing he said to me was, "Man, you look lost." I was. I know we get competitive sometimes, but we all know he has my back when it comes down to the stuff that really matters, and that is what makes him my best friend, my second brother.
Best Cook and Teacher - No one does it better than Grandma. Yep, my Granny. I remember when I was a little kid, she'd get my all hyped up on her sugar cookies cause she said little boys were supposed to be full of energy. I think it back fired most of the time, cause I'd just hang around the kitchen bugging her about what she was making or looking for more food. The kitchen always smelled like love. She didn't write down her recipes because she said cooking came from the heart and you couldn't put something like that down on paper. After she passed away, we found out that she had taught each of us how to make something different (me more than anyone else, probably cause she figured I like eating more than the others). I think that was her plan all along for making sure we stuck together, not to mention well fed.
