I've scheduled seventeen hours for the next term, but it's likely that I'll end up dropping CHEM 1431 (Honors General Chemistry Lab) if I can somehow obtain pass/fail credit for CHEM 1431 or 1212, the latter of which is the same as 1431 but without the Honors emphasis. I don't like the prospect of being in class 21 hours out of the week - having 15 hours of classtime and Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons for myself would be wonderful. Or it'd seem to be, as I don't have that luxury this semester with the afternoon math class. So I'm going to talk to the G-Chem professor, whom I don't know at all (but who talks to me and says hi randomly right before Organic starts ... maybe I look like someone he knows? Who cares, as long as he gets me out of that class), sometime this week, and hopefully I'll be able to drop that sucker.
I have a huge Organic Chemistry test tomorrow night, on stereochemistry. Speaking of O-Chem, a couple of my study buddies invited me to go to a Halloween party Saturday night at some random apartment in Tigerland with two of their close friends. I don't know if I'm going to go, but if I do, I'll be the only guy in that group. It's probably going to be similar to the Princeton Review house party last Friday, except that I won't see my bosses and coworkers get completely shitfaced and plastered by a combination of low-carb beer, Vodka tonics, and Everclear jello shots. All four of them are dessing up as cowboys ... so, if I go, should I dress up as a cowgirl to even things out?
I'm going to sleep now.
This weekend has been a bit stressful for several of my friends. I sincerely hope that it turns for the better in the near future.
