Life update? I think so...
Recently bought an iPhone, it is the love of my life. 8GB and gorgeous. It's fantastic for entertaining me on the twelve hour shifts at work. Plus I really needed a new phone.
Fanexpo was SUPER busy this year, not as enjoyable. I really didn't want to go this year but seeing as how I already bought my ticket... Completely forgot to look for the graphic novel I wanted... I went through the entire thing feeling like I was watching it on TV. Tired and epic hot the entire time. My poor Chelsey was too sick to go. Maybe it will be better next year. We'll see.
Have procurred tickets to go see Paramore at the Kool Haus in October, very excited. Any concert you can see for thirty dollars is fucking awesome. Chole date time. (Chelsey/Nicole)
Took my Chelsey out to Boston Pizza for UFC fight night, we need to do it more often it was surprising fun!! Even though I had the whole 'I don't want to go' attitude I had for the Fanexpo. Bloody boys + Pizza + Beer = Good times.
FINALLY finished up my embalmings and applied for my FD liscence today, which means I'm in limbo for a couple days. (Can't embalm anymore, but still can't sign documents.) But I willbe staying on here in Whitby, which is fine for now since nobody will hire you unless you're three years liscenced. Benefits and a pay rise? Yes please.
It's kind of weird (and upsetting) that I'm not going to be starting any sort of school in the next couple days. Jealous of my friends who get to go back. It's kind of a nice stable life, being in school. Knowing whats coming in the next couple months is fantastic. After graduating there is a general feeling of... now what? What the hell do I do now? I don't plan on buying a house anytime soon. No prospect of marriage or kids ANYWHERE or ANYTIME soon. Sooo, what the fuck do I do? Work to pay off my debts I guess. I think I have a good ten grand left (7 with OSAP and 3 from a private loan) Which I hope to have all paid off within five years. I guess that's the current life plan until I have something better come along.
TOTALLY looking forward to fall, it's my favourite season. All my shows come on with new episodes!! (have recently renewed my love affair with Criminal Minds and the FABULOUS Dr. Spencer Reid, who I wish to spend the rest of my life with. In fact I shall have a new LJ pic of him! *Googles* I think I'll buy a season with my next pay check. Oh Dr. Reid... <3
Was saved today by a gallant twenty-something business man in a very well cut suit. I got my heel stuck is a street grate at Bay and Gerrard, much to my dismay. I asked if he could give me a hand and pulled my foot (and shoe) out in a very cinderella-like fashion. * le sigh* why didn't I get his number...
Other than that, not much is going on.
