It's Thursday!
I think. Anywho, how is everyone out there? I am well. Even though I think Obama is only slightly better than Romney, I am glad he won. Neither will ever get a vote from me, but at least Obama is more human that the robot we call Romney. I voted for Gary Johnson personally. Though I knew he wouldn't win, I can still feel better knowing that I voted for the candidate I WANTED to be my president, instead of who had the best chance of winning. But I am very glad that Maryland is a state where gay couples can legally get married! Many of you know I am heterosexual, but still! Why shouldn't gay couples be able to get married? Because of religion? Go live in Texas then ya mooks. Maryland is moving forward!
It's been nearly 2 months since I smoked my last cigarette! DP over here is doing well :) I smoked hookah recently, and oh my did my lungs not have it! Well that just means my lungs have adjusted well to no smoke striking them :) Hookah won't happen very often though. I must say, I feel I picked a damn good time of the year to quit. Not only was it at the beginning of the semesten the work load was small, but right before autumn began. I can smell autumn so much better now :) It's been very lovely.
A new band may be looming for DP too. WORLD FUSION METAL. I met a talented young lady two months ago who plays fiddle and really wants to start a folk metal band. We both suggested to do more than just Celtic music, so we wish to include Slavic, Mediterranean, Romani, Middle Eastern and Germanic sounds too. Should be very interesting! Once fucking school dies down...
And mead! It's been almost a month since I began a double batch of a blueberry/raspberry melomel with cinnamon and cloves. Each gallon has a different kind of honey: one with wildflower honey, and the other with clover honey. It's been a while since I did an autumn/winter mead, so let's drink and enjoy :)
