That seems to be a common trend. I've metal international bands that have told me they feel they have stronger crowds in North America overall than in their home countries. Odd, but trust me, there are plenty of folk here who are starved for such bands.

There are in Russia a lot of big fans of Europian and American bands.....but only 2-3 of them come to the middle or the east of Russia. All bands play in the capital (Moskow) and...... that's all. Maybe people still think that we live in the winter forest all the time of year. But that's a bullshit of course.

I live in the middle of Russia. And i rarely come to Moskow for the concerts. So... this year i listened to Morphis, In Flames, Lake of Tears, Cradle of Filth, Combichrist, Apocalyptica. I think it's unfair.

P.S. Sorry for my English. I'm not a native speaker and i do not really often use it in my life. So, hope it's understandable.
