You have the power to make your life, from now on, whatever you want it to be. It might not be perfect, but once you decide to own it, it will be yours. And you can always change it.
I keep listening to Drugs or Me by Jimmy Eat World and all I can think of is how, when I was in grade seven, you asked if you could smoke in front of me. You were in grade eight. And I said it was okay, that you could, I didn't mind. But I did. I just didn't want to impose. You were only fourteen, but you seemed so old. Things have changed so much since then. You've changed so much. I blame myself for part of it.
That's one of my biggest regrets to this day. That maybe, because of that exchange, you thought no one cared. But I still do.
