The MLPFiM fandom has dubbed this background pony as Doctor Whooves, and anyone who's read EquestriaDaily will see all of the fanfiction dedicated to him. I don't know if the animators intended for this one-shot background pony to be a parody of the good Doctor, but the fans have really taken off with him.

I wish I knew where some of these Bronies have all of this time to do all of these great animations. Wow!
