Ur Doin it wrong

Dead Island is a terrible zombie game.

It feels like it's trying to be so many zombie games all mashed into one. This only causes it to fall flat on its face and become a jumbled mashup of shit.

Obviously, it's attempting to be L4D first of all. We'll just get that out of the way right now. Secondly, like my mom said, it has little bits of Dead Rising in it as far as modding weapons go. Let's also not forget the random RPG element of leveling up that's just out of nowhere. I felt like I was back inside of WoW wondering where I should put my skills in a tree.

And let's talk about the weapons in the early part of the game. I picked the british chick that's good at firearms. Seemed logical enough and everyone else was good at melee/blunt. I'm not too overly fond of that stuff.

BIG MISTAKE! I played for two whole hours and not once did I see a gun in sight aside from the random fury burst I chose. It's just melee after melee. And all the melee weapons break after about four or five swings depending on how often you use them. It got to the point where I started picking up every single melee weapon in case my others just decided to break on me.

Suuure, you can repair them, but it just seems so frivolous to stop and repair weapons in a world where zombies want to chew my face off at any second, especially when i have to pay for it. Who the fuck am I paying?

Oh! And the energy drinks. Why does it make me drink the energy drink when my health is already full? Shouldn't I be saving that later when my health is screwed?

Ugh... there's just so much about this game that was done poorly and it makes me sad.
