TV Rant

It suddenly feels like the more and more S3 of White Collar draws closer the more I'm possibly going to fall out of love with the show. This is only because of one thing.

Sara.

She's going to become part of the main cast and I just can't stand the thought of it honestly. Don't get me wrong. I do like a few of the women on the show. El and Diana mainly. But, Sara just feels like a woman that the writers decided to use because they felt their male characters were too close. I'm pretty sure they know about their fanbase. Most writers and such for tv shows do.

Neal was just getting over Kate's death. Now, while I never liked Kate at all it was reasonable that he was upset. So, he's supposed to just suddenly jump Sara? Their chemistry isn't even that great. Half the time it makes me cringe because it's just 'Oh, look at them being playful. Isn't that cute?'

Yeah, funny how Neal and Peter had a much stronger chemistry just like that. But no, gotta stick a woman in there to scare off the slashers.

Look, we know nothing is going to happen between most male characters in shows. Okay? Everytime you writers get scared of these things your instant reaction shouldn't be to stick some useless female into the program. Strong male friendships is a reason I like to watch shows. A reason I stop is because they're ruined by bullshit.
