Beautiful People
I was looking at People Magazine this morning (it was in the backroom for some reason) and saw the beautiful people thing and decided to skim through it before I got caught looking at it. It was like "here are these famous folks with no makeup! just moisturizer and lip balm!" I don't believe that's all they had on but oh well not the point. In my opinion these celebrities who look good with not that much makeup on should not be beautiful people. Sure they may do good things or whatever but a beautiful person to me is not just someone who simply has good looks. Even if the person doesn't have good looks, they should still qualify as a beautiful person as long as they are beautiful on the inside. Loving, kind, caring, all that stuff. So I got to thinking who I would put on my beautiful people list, and this is what I came up with.
The old dude on Lake Margaret Dr. Every morning (or every other morning) when I'm driving home from work I see this old man with his huge headphones on attached to a cassette player or radio, holding his little plastic shopping bag and stick thingy, picking up the garbage along the road. I dunno if anyone is making him do that, I don't think anyone is making him. He's pretty old. Not that that has anything to do with anything. lol. But it's a nice thing to see yano? The only people I see picking up trash is if they work for someone. I never see anyone "normal" doing anything like that.
Venerable Chueh S-something I can't remember what her name is! All of the venerable at the temple have Chueh before their "name" which is only like two or three letters. Hers starts with a S. I'll have to ask again tonight. Anyway she is one of the nuns at the temple. Why I pick her in particular is because she exudes love. She greets you like she is genuinely happy to see you. It doesn't matter if this is your first time meeting her or if you see her all the time. It's always the same. This is the person think about when I need to remember to spread loving kindness to everyone. Also, she doesn't speak english. For her to not be able to talk to me but still greet me the way she does, it's awesome. Her happiness is contagious. When I'm around her her love like punches me in the face. Never experienced that with anyone else.
The hostess vender guy He's lost a lot of weight! I heard he had the gastric bypass thing done but I don' t think he was big enough for that. I think it is because he LITERALLY runs through the store when making his deliveries. You have to get out of the way or else you will get ran over. He seems pretty dedicated to his job, and he speaks to just about everyone he passes by. And if he passes by you again he makes sure to tell you to have a good day.
Don (i think that's his name) He's a people greeter.Always friendly, and always talks about how beautiful it is outside. Seems like he always looks at the bright side of things.
Shannon In my opinion Shannon is a bit obsessive. His heart is in the right place but he just needs to calm down the emotions a bit. But this guy can love. This guy is really caring. If you are this guys friend you are lucky because he would probably lay his life down for you.
Tony I am lucky to have a guy like him in my house. EXTREMELY friendly, and can talk off your fucking ear! He absolutely loves helping people no matter what it may be. He stopped the car one day to help a guy push his car. He helped a guy fix his toilet seat or something last night, he became a massage therapist because he wants to help people feel better. He rarely ever gets angry (except at idiot drivers) he's extremely patient, and kind, one of the best friends you can have. His mom and I both look at him as a role model. We strive to be like him. I'm not saying this because he's my fiance. These are the reasons why I decided a long time ago that I needed him to be a part of my life.
Joyce For someone who has only known me for a year and some change to treat me like I am their own child really says alot about them.
It's not a list of 100, it's only 7. But there are hundreds of people who are beautiful people. People who are pretty on the inside and let it show through their actions. Celebrities get enough recognition for shit. They should shine the light on the people who deserve it for a change.
