So my brother got his girlfriend two fish yesterday. They died last night. So I'm being helpful, you know, trying to help him figure out why. Conversation goes something like this:
ME: So what kind of fish were they?
KIRBY: I dunno. One was black and one was gray.
ME: Bettas?
KIRBY: No.
ME: Goldfish?
KIRBY: Uh... no.
ME: Okay, so you had a tank, right?
DAD IN BACKGROUND: *starts snickering*
KIRBY: We had, uh, a round-ish sort of tank thing, yeah.
ME: ... You took one of my bowls.
KIRBY: Yeah. We cleaned it out, though. With Win-dex. But then we rinsed it out, too, so that was okay, right?
ME: *dying inside* No. No. That was not okay. You can't put most fish in bowls anyway.
KIRBY: Oh. What do we need, then?
ME: A tank.
KIRBY: Oh. Darn. Do you have one?
ME: Yes. You can have it. It just needs a heater and a replacement filter.
KIRBY: A heater? What?
(later)
ME: But you de-chlorinated the water first, right?
KIRBY: Huh?
*headdesk*
IN OTHER NEWS, the wellymuck prompt is in Russian, which is causing me all manner of glee, but also minor spasms because the accents are in the wrong places... but then when I paste it into a txt window they move to the right places, and I am SO CONFUSED.
