f: With Him Where Ever (R/S)

With Him Where Ever, 375 words, R/S with Fenrir (blah), nothing offensive for a slasher. No beta. Could use an honest one, by which I mean one who does not know me, like me or care about hurting my feelings, which, yes, are easily hurt, but never too deeply. Oh. And. The song. It's "Do You Love an Apple?", originally sung in 1975 by the Bothy Band ( Read more... )

ficlet, r/s

Remus' time with Fenrir is so ripe for exploration in fanfic. I like the way you've had Fenrir act here: cruel to Remus, but not insanely sadistic (he is, after all, a fellow werewolf). And the letters, the way you've distilled them to their essences is brilliant.

I do betaing. I'd be more than happy to beta for you, if you'd like.

Oh, WOULD you? Would you PLEASE? Though you would have to do it at your own risk, as I may start trying to bear your children.

And thanks so much for the comment. <3

For such a short piece, you say so much. Remus' hesitancy and caution is completely, brilliantly fitting for his character, as is Sirius' drunken singing and panicked letters.

Really, really beautiful.

You know, this is the first thing I've read about Remus while he's with Fenrir. Granted, that's my own fault as I've been reading almost exclusively MWPP stories for the past few months... but still. Strange to only realize it now.

The point of telling you that, is to let you know that this is now how I will likely always picture it in my head. Lonely and cold and harsh... but with this painfully bittersweet undercurrent that makes it just hurt that much more. One scrap of paper and the engraving on his case as the only comfort he has... really, it does... well, it makes me want to kick Dumbledore's ass for sending him there, really :D

Oh yay! I created a picture! Better than contradicting one, methinks. And thank you. ^^ You got it (what I was trying to convey) perfectly an' I was worried I was being too... something. Yays.

See? You've reduced me into a blubbering mass of jelly. Even if it is Fenrir >.>

And I so tell you when something doesn't work. Except it always DOES work, so I don't need to. Got it, missy? <3

Oooh, Jacki!jelly. *pokes it with stick*

And I will give you that you were honest with the joint_gifts fic, unlike some other people. But, like, I can't very well ask you to beta something I write for you, can I? Etc. Thus I need an honest person hidden away elsewhere.

Jacki!jelly: *wiggles*

Hahaha. I'm ALWAYS honest. Because I expect the same from others, you see? But you're right XD although those fics are few and far between >.>

This is a great little piece: it's short, but it gets the point across in a way that other fics need three times the length for. What really struck me, though, was the way you didn't directly describe the setting, but it really came across for me. ... And this line:

against his hip and the bone-deep memory of Sirius’s fingers

Oh, and I volunteer for the position of Honest Beta Reader. (I'm not exactly seasoned and experienced, but neither am I completely unknowledgeable...)

Hurrah! That's actually one of my major problems (not describing setting, or really much of anything, erk). I'm glad it worked for this instead of messing it up.

And, again, hurrah! I may be bothering you soon. *darty eyes*

Of course.

... I don't think I list my email in my userinfo, because I'm paranoid, so: e n s o r c e l l e d @ g m a i l . c o m. Again, I'm paranoid of spam and such, so take out the spaces. :D
