It's been a while since I updated, but I got kind of bored for a bit of being pregnant. Nothing was moving or looking different. I wasn't feeling sick as often aside from occasional migrains, a few bouts with nausea, and the constant sleepiness. Now that I actually can see a poochy tummy and the rugrat has been tickling (and scanning) my insides, it seems fun to be pregnant again.
Oh, and my boobs? Daaaaamn. My DDs are getting tight.
I'm looking forward to having a sex drive again. I hear it happens sometime around when the kid hits college.
I was so excited, I really thought I would be getting an anotomy scan at my next appointment along with finding out the plumbing. Unfortunately not. Apparently my insurance does not cover ultrasounds unless the are required. Thats medicare though.
I was offered insurance finally at work with Blue Cross Blue Shield. The thing is though, I would have to pay a $50 month premium, $15 co-pay on all meds, and it would only cover 80% of my delivery after the deductable thing. With an easy delivery, minimal drugs, no episiotomy, c-section, epidural, or extraction methods, that would still leave me paying about $3500. A private room would still be an out of pocket expense. So where is my motivation to get my own insurance? I figure I've been paying for ghetto babies to be born for the last 10 years or so out of my taxes, now it's just my due. Besides, I can hardly afford to take a 3500 hit on top of my pay-free maternity leave.
I'm going to buy our crib this weekend though. That will be fun.
I have decided to find a new home for my cat. It's too much with the baby. Lord knows why I'm keeping the dog, lol. Problem is I can't seem to find a really good home, and I do not want to place him at a shelter. I still have time though. He is sweet as peaches, but the litterbox.... gah.
