OH MY GODS. REALLY?!
There are some people in this world who really surprise me with how dumb they are.. and I'm not trying to be mean, honestly, I'm not.. but sometimes, I have to wonder if I really am smarter than I thought. Which is ridiculous. Everyone in the world can't possibly be that stupid- it's just illogical.
I've had to explain the same simple concepts (that the people sharing the limo for prom with me and my date are going to meet up at my house and my neighbor's house, the boys going to his and the girls coming to mine, and my mom's making snack food for the parents, and we're not doing anything after prom) to four different people.. FOUR. DIFFERENT. PEOPLE. About five times. Either they can't read (this is all going down on Facebook), their reading comprehension is WAY below average, or they're just plain stupid. And that really upsets me! I'm losing faith in humanity by the second, here!
And it's also making me really dread prom tomorrow. I mean, I've been dreaming about it all my life, but.. well, let's count the ways it's making me uncomfortable:
1. My date has explicitly told me that he's not interested in me- he's going as a favor.
2. The people sharing my limo are, as I've said, either bad readers or just.. idiots.
3. My dress makes my arms look chubby.
4. I can't really do anything with my hair, because it's very VERY short.
5. I can't dance worth a damn.
6. Parties in general usually make me uncomfortable.
7. Very few of my friends are actually going to prom, because most of them are younger than me, and one of my friends is "too cool" for prom, which also makes me angry because she knows I have only maybe three friends who are going to be there. If that.
XP please don't mistake this for me being a jerk.. I'm usually a lot nicer than this. I just need to get my thoughts out without putting them on Facebook so I don't hurt anybody.
