Ahahaha, haha, so, hi.
Sorry I haven't updated in a week.
But I have some good excuses!
Like, you know, jet lag and sleeping and last-minute summer reading and getting a job and just a little bit of partying. Oh, and cousins. Lots and lots of cousins.
So, my week kind of went like this:
After 12-odd hours of transit (time differences not included), I finally made it back to Monterey more or less in one piece. Since I'm crazy, I decided to go over to Alyssa's on the way home, which was fun. Being attacked by Isabel is actually one of my favorite passtimes. After that, I went out to sushi with my mom and her boyfriend. Whereupon I promptly fell asleep in my inari.
Sunday, I went to the Reggae Fest with my mom, her boyfriend and her other friend. My mom got me drunk. I sympathized with my mom's friend about her bad boob job, and then fell asleep.
Monday, I went to the school to get my schedule, realized it was fucked up, slapped a bitch, made an appointment to fix it, went to Myo with Alyssa and Aleena, went home, slept, woke up, went to Planet Gemini, crashed at Alyssa's with Aleena and Brianna. All with a hangover.
Tuesday I applied for a job at this neat little bakery in Sand City and got sick.
Wednesday I went to go bother Sarah with Hana and Ivy and Tati.
Thursday I worked on getting unsick, henna-ed my hair, my mom found my cigarette stash and unexplainably wasn't mad.
Friday, I fixed my schedule, went to dinner at the warf with Alyssa, Aleena and Cienna. We ate too much, flirted with valets and got harassed for pot by a drunk tourist.
Saturday I went to the Aquarium with my cousins and their adorable granddaughters. Which was pretty freaking awesome.
Yesterday I bullshitted through my notes on Moby Dick, accidentally pantsed myself in Wallmart, got attacked by my baby cousins again, had dinner with my Grandpa, and found out that I got the job at the bakery. Also there was a minor family emergency. Apparently one of my like, 5th cousins got arrested for child molestation. Lovely. Have I mentioned how white trash my family is lately?
Today I've managed to do absolutely nothing. Which, let me tell you, is awesome.
Tomorrow, another one of my cousin's girlfriend is moving in, and I start work.
Wednesday, school starts!
I have a feeling that this school year is really going to be incredible. Already, things are so different from last year. I'm starting a new school and a new job, getting my license and a car, and spending more time with my crazy ass extended family. I'm already working on the designs for my tattoo (which I'm getting sometime after my birthday), which is going to be awesome. I'm meeting all these great new people and hanging out with all of these people I haven't seen since middle school. Also, I'm finally an upper classman! Yeah, this year is going to be awesome.
So, I do this thing at the beginning of every school year where I set a whole bunch of goals for myself, write them down, and then don't look at it until the end of the year. Since this is the first year I've had a blog, I figure I'll post it up here. Soooo:
Maile's Super Awesome Goals for Junior Year:
[ ] Keep my job
[ ] Get my tattoo
[ ] Think up a supersexy name for my minivan
[ ] Pass my driving test on the first go
[ ] Get into as much trouble as humanly possible
[ ] Watch all of Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Gossip Girl
[ ] Never miss an episode of Legend of Korra at Alyssa's house
[ ] Internet stalk John Green
[ ] Get a hot boyfriend who isn't a douche
[ ] Keep up with Nerdwatch/Fringewatch and the blog
[ ] Make honor roll both semesters.
[ ] Make new friends
[ ] Have the best junior year ever
