Star Wars at Dah-veeds = extremely amusing. The movies were great(ish), the lasagna and salad were delicious (thanks Papa Dah-Veed!), and Jen's and my
First we left David's while waiting for Jon to show up (because that's the natural turn of events--he comes only once you're gone). We hung out w/ Nick and Michael for a while, ate some ice cream. Agreed to pick Nick up at 11 even though we knew he wouldn't be ready. Threw a spoon Nick had just delivered on the ground, made him pick it up and get us a new one. Went back and watched some light sabering. Came back at 11 with the car aimed straight at the front door. Attempted driving through the drive-thru but crates blocked our way. Drove around to the outside of the window and stared longingly at the drive-thru window from afar (if only we were fat, then it would have been hilarious. Yes, Jen?). Nick wasn't ready, said we'd have to come back in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later arrives, Jen calls DQ and the manager says Nick left 12 minutes ago. Jen and I agree we should just stay and that Nick will call us when he gets home. 10 minutes later I get a call on my phone from angry Nick saying, "LIZ WHERE ARE YOU?!" Jen and I nearly die from laughter, are accused of drunkeness by the white trash neighbors hanging out on the next driveway (Sarah Keller, we need to have a talk), pick up Nick and Michael and return only to have missed the sex scenes. Sigh. Still, it was definitely worth it. Thanks Jen for the adventure! Thanks Nick for being our muse!
Thanks all involved for a wonderful evening. We must do this again. There are still 3 movies and plenty of fun left to be had!
