Herp derp, title.
Another of my friends is in a painful place -- a place I've been in before -- and it's driving me to tears. I feel so awful because memories of my experience still hurt, and I would never wish this even on my worst enemy. It's terrible to watch someone I care about go through it while knowing there isn't much I can do other than offer my shoulder and advice when it's needed (which probably won't be for a while). I'm gonna be pretty bummed about this, man. No bueno. :(
Onto happier things, to take my mind off it some, I've made some sidequest progress in ALBW. I got the one thing that was eluding me, and some of what comes with it. I've gotten most of the collection quests done, I'm just missing five Heart Pieces. I can guess where two of them are, but I haven't a clue about the other three. Poop. And I could swear I saw one earlier in the game, but I don't remember where or if I've gone back and picked it up yet! I'm giving myself until Friday, when I'll just get on with it, because I'll need something to occupy myself with on the way to and from skating.
Didn't go skating today, because I got crap sleep. Well, not crap so much as crappily timed. The rain turned out not to be a factor during the day, but the wind was so strong last night, it ripped some of the aluminum siding right off the eaves on the house! Naturally, it's around my side of the house, but it doesn't affect my bedroom. Yet. Or ever, I hope. That didn't affect my sleep -- it just sounded like someone who was having a very bad time parallel parking, or garbage cans being blown into the cars (which I thought it was at first, because today was trash day) -- it was just... odd. Welp.
Though I didn't watch, Facebook informs me that the Rangers won today, 5-2. I've got a new superstition: I can't wear any Rangers gear when Lundqvist is in net, but I have to wear my Lundqvist shirt when Talbot is. It's held up the past two weeks, and so it shall until I notice the trend starting to fade.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I will make my beef pie again, and it will be delicious! So much food and drink and pie and ice cream. But for now, I'm gonna top off my soda and then get back to my game.
