Whoops.
Somehow, I slept about twelve hours last night and woke up in the middle of the afternoon today, and subsequently did nothing. I'm going to blame it on the weather: it was dreary and raining and overall awful. Going to set my alarm for mid-morning tomorrow so it doesn't happen again.
I calculated that, including the anomaly that was All-Star Week, I've spent over $1000 on sports tickets in the past year. Three hockey games, a soccer game, a MiLB game, and roughly 10 MLB games. Tack on food and apparel and... yikes. actually i don't think i've bought any new apparel in the last year. that should probably change.
Rangers edged out Lumbus tonight, 3-2. Hags netted two (well, one, and was just given credit for the other as it was a Lumbus own-goal), and the Captain got the middle one. Marc Staal would have been hit in the face with a deflected puck for the second time this year if not for that wonderful visor he has to wear now; thank goodness for it. Taylor Pyatt wasn't so lucky; he was elbowed in the jaw in the second and missed the rest of the game. The Rangers have won two straight, and five of their last six, finally coming back to .500 for the first time in a solid month, after a 2-6-0 start to their season.
The Canucks are in San Jose tonight, and are currently winning 3-2 in the first intermission. The Canucks will be back in New York against the Rangers at the end of the month, but as it's a Saturday afternoon at the end of a five-game NYR road trip, I have little chance of attending (i.e., tickets are on resale sites for upwards of $100 and just ... no. Not after I spent $95 on three games. Your prices SUCK, NYR. I actually doubt I'm going to see the Rangers play at all, ever again: even in Jersey and on the Island, the resale sites are asking ridiculous amounts of money. It sucks something fierce, and it'll only get worse with the Garden renovations and if the Rangers keep doing well).
Neither team plays tomorrow, so I guess my post will be more about All-Star Week. I'll be at Es' but her internet's been spotty so I hope I can still do it. If anything, quick voice posts, because I always make at least one of those every NaBloPoMo. XD
