Haven't been feeling well since Friday.
Unrelated to Friday night's game -- I was over it quickly, having anticipated the loss (shut up, Megan) -- I've been really out of it, staying up until (and sometimes past!) dawn, getting plenty of sleep but none of it particularly good, and having lots of nightmares. I've had nightmares three out of the past four nights. And though I've been trying to help Esmeralda on her cosplay this weekend -- yesterday she made me sleep for hours even though I didn't want to. *sigh* My wifey knows what's best for me -- nothing's come of it and I freaked out a little bit today. I'm just really worried about things.
Anyway, that's the life update, but the reason for this update is Friday's game. And the whole series. And the whole playoffs, since we had our backs to the wall three times.
What happened to the Broadway Hat? There was one of those early games when Chris Kreider did something awesome and he might have gotten the Broadway Hat for it, only the last person to have it was Boyle, who was still out with a concussion and unable to pass it on. I didn't hear about the Hat after that.
That's why we lost, you guys. We literally didn't have our swag. :'(
THE METS ARE DOING PRETTY WELL THOUGH, having won three in a row, six games over, and were it October and were it last year, they would have the NL Wild Card! Unfortunately, because MLB is stupid, this year they would be playing a one-game playoff against the winner of Miami/St. Louis, because they have identical records. Not that that matters, though, since it's only the end of May. Orioles are still in first place, but only in the ALE (though I'm sure they'll take that. Suck it, Yankees fans).
