More good news and bad news.
The good news: I will definitely save money. I'm probably going to lose some weight, get health coverage, and have more time for dansu. I'm even free to go to D&D on Wednesday nights!
The bad news: I lost my job.
So you know all those hours I'm owed? And remember how I said I was going to lose my job because of them? Guess who was right~ Basically, since I'm owed more hours than are left on my contract (which expires in July, six and a half months from now), they're buying me out, will figure out the rest later (according to F), and might* pick up the contract in July.
*That's workspeak for LOL NO CHANCE.
I mean, it's cool. I have to look for work, and this is the absolutely worst time of year to do it, but I get paid in the meantime. And since I'm just being let go -- lack of work -- instead of being fired, when my hours even out, I can apply for unemployment to keep me going a little longer (provided I haven't found anything in the interim, of course).
If it seems like I'm taking it well, I am. It's... kind of a good thing. XD Sure, minor setbacks a little bit, but overall, I think I'm at a net plus. SO 8V I really don't know how else to say it.
With respect to Dad, third time lucky, it seems. I left work late today, so I called David to let him know, and he told me that the car was still dead. Tomorrow, though. And! Dad might be able to come home tomorrow, too. So yay! Things are pretty okay! Anyone up for Scrabble later?
By the way, Cherry, your team kicked my team's ass, 4-1. See? You didn't think the Cardinals would do anything, either! XD
