DUDE.
So, this afternoon, mid-sewing-prep, I checked reddit and yaaaaay, orangered. What, ho! Someone who's been offering free tickets on reddit for a while had a spare for tonight's game. And it's not like I was doing anything. So I jumped right on that.
I was a bit late -- I left home at six for a seven-ten game, and the usual bus-passing-while-I-walked-to-the-stop happened. I swear, it's like they time them so I always miss them, because it's always when I'm at the same part of the street -- but it was cool.
The game itself was pretty boring. No runs scored until the fifth, when Washington went up a run. Made for some silence between me and the other redditor, and, surprisingly, it didn't feel so awkward as it would under normal circumstances. Maybe I'm pretending we were both really focused on the game. >.>;; At least the people behind us cheering for Washington were entertaining. Oh, and the seats were nice, too. I'd never been on anything that's not the upper-level at Citi Field.
The Mets wound up losing 3-2. In the fifth, I think, Jayson Werth doubled, and the next hitter went right to Jose. He made a heads-up play and threw to third, as Werth was slow getting over. David dropped the ball, and Werth later scored. David made up for it with an RBI later, but.... Ah, my Mets, coming back from behind only to lose by a run. That's how they roll!
So I just got home about ten minutes ago, and I was set to send the dude who invited me another message thanking him. Orangered. Ooooooh. Another redditor inviting me to tomorrow night's game. XD Yes, I think I'll go and make all three games this series. Imagine if I had taken Dad up on the offer of going last night as well!
Needless to say, I didn't get any sewing done. I've only got the inside pieces for the messenger bag cut out. Looks like that bag won't be ready until the weekend and I'll have to suffer through with another one. WHOOPS. On the bright side, I got some more work for Hetalia Day done. Yay? This scavenger hunt feels... very not-well-written. D:
