3 Random Facts about you:
1. I was a smart kid. I used to read encyclopedias and study world maps for funsies. I was always frustrated that I had these ideas that no one understood because I didn't have the words to explain them. I fully believe that I'd be a lot better off if school taught me what I wanted to know rather than what it thought I should know.
2. I have a LOT of trouble hearing things if they are too loud or if the acoustics are too poor. Oh hey Anime Next '09.
3. I discovered that counting on my fingers in binary is actually pretty helpful.
Story behind your username: Oh my god, I am such a dork.
1. First Name: Venus
2. Age: 28 years, 7 months, 23 days.
3. Location: New York
4. Occupation: Undergraduate Admissions at CUNY Baruch.
5. Partner? *siiigh*
6. Kids: This is what I hate about doing more than one meme at a time, is that I have to answer some of the questions twice.
7. Brothers/Sisters: Robin (46), David (45), Matthew (26)
8. Pets: Bradley.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life: Um. Work, getting ready for con season, and ... um... sleeping. ... orz I'm so pathetic.
10. Parents: Are getting old and it's funny and sad at the same time. D: My dad would probably ask if getting old was like Harry Potter. XDDDD
11. Who are some of your closest friends? Esmeralda and I have gotten super-close in the past year. ♥ We relate so well because we're so close in age, and that's something I don't have with a lot of people.
12. What are some of the things you like most? SLEEPIN'. Blue. Sports. Fantasy books. ichiP!. Bitching about stuff. Caffeine. Internet.
13. A photo of yourself and anything else you want to say.
I need to take a new picture of myself, this one's already a year old. Not that I look any different, but, y'know. (And see what I mean about my eyes? Even here, you can barely make out my pupils. AUGH.)
Good news: Katsucon panel was picked up, so if you're going, ichiP! is holding a workshop on Friday from 4:00-5:30. :D (
loveanime18, I know you said you're doing fem!nations sometime on Friday, so just let me know when, and I hope this doesn't coincide.)
Bad news: So Sakura Matsuri is kind of the same weekend as Costume Con? And Laura and I are already going to the latter. Costume Con is four days, and SakuMatsu only two; we're going to try to get everything for SakuMatsu on one day so we can enjoy the other three in peace, but if not, there'll be a lot of running around (and we definitely don't wanna miss SakuMatsu because we're getting paid for it! :D) As it's right after Anime Boston, and while I'm getting the last bits and pieces together for Anime North, that should be a terribly exhausting weekend.
Good news: I went to Roosevelt Field today and not only did I discover that Yankee Candle still exists, but I got new candles and now my room smells like hazelnut coffee (well, it's supposed to. Smells more like chocolate to me, but I'll take it either way).
Bad news: I went to about five different stores for both my jersey and ichiP! socks, and went home with neither. Oh, and speaking of ichiP!, we're scrapping new costumes for Katsu because we really do have too much stuff to do. Awww. I wish there were a way we could get the pattern done and I would just take it upon myself to sew like a maniac. Not that I did any sewing today.
Good news: There's no more bad news. :D
